If you are running a 32Bit OS then there is a possibility that your system will only show 3.5GB-4GB of useable RAM regardless of if your system will accept 8GB or 16GB or higher and you purchase higher than 4GB of RAM. So for example; if your system allows 16GB max capacity; and you install 16GB RAM; but your are only running a 32Bit OS then it will most likely only show a useable 3.5GB-4GB. Most 64Bits will allow the full RAM useage providing you purchase the correct capacity for your system. If you are unsure then please contact us. We will advise if you're unsure.

If 4GB is installed; the recognized memory may be reduced to 3.5GB or less (depending on system configuration and memory allocation). Maximum configurations require a 64-bit operating system.
