At one end is a standard USB A type male connector which plugs into the USB port of your PC/Laptop, at the other end, the mini USB plug which simply plugs into your digital camera.  Your PC/Laptop will instantly recognise the cable for you to start transfer/viewing of your pictures.  There's no need to install any drivers.
