Your QNAP TVS-871 is compatible with all the memory speeds and frequencies listed on this page which include 1600MT/s (PC3-12800). Higher frequency memory will clock down in speed depedent on your CPU model.

Compatible SSD upgrades for the QNAP TVS-871 NAS Drive.

The QNAP TVS-871 supports one SSD/Drive type which are 2.5" (SATA) SSDs. We have SSDs available for your QNAP TVS-871 in capacities of 7.68TB (7680GB) to 240GB. There will be no limitation on the maximum capacity that you can install.

RAM/Memory Upgrade & Installation Notes.

- This system supports one memory type: Non-ECC

- Higher frequency memory (measured in MT/s) will clock down to run at optimal speed within your QNAP TVS-871 NAS Drive depending on processor model and number of modules installed.

- Please note Mhz is always half of MT/s. MT/s is the abbreviation for megatransfers / million transfers per second and is the more effective way to measure DDR3L memory frequency.- Install identical modules for best performance. For example if your model has 2 slots, purchase 2 modules for best performance and Dual-Channel mode.

- Can i mix the memory capacity per slot in my QNAP TVS-871 NAS Drive? Yes. This is a commonly asked question and you can mix capacities but best performance comes from installing indentical DDR3L modules.
