Sony's latest mirrorless digital camera added to their popular Alpha range is the Sony Alpha a6400.

Packed with features such as flip screen, autofocus system, 4K video 24.2MP and burst shots available of 11fps, this digital camera has plenty of features to keep the amateur photographer interested in photography with features that outweigh those of the top of the range smartphones.

This particular camera supports UHS-I memory cards, 4K video recording and has a megapixel count of 24.2MP which means a 128GB capacity memory card will allow for approximately 16,000 images or 264 mins of 4K video (4.4hours).

As this camera is equipped with 4K video, users wishing to make use of this feature must add in a card that supports 4K video. These types of memory cards are easy to spot, simply look for the U3 logo on the SD cards label.

The U3 logo is denoted below on the SanDisk Extreme Pro SD card. U3 simply means a guaranteed minimum write speed of 30MB/s which is standard requirements for 4K video recording. The U3 logo is an industry standard logo that you will see on all major branded memory cards.

Let's now take a look at the top 5 memory cards that we recommend for the Sony Alpha a6400 mirrorless digital camera.

1. SanDisk Extreme Pro 64GB SDXC Card 170MB/s.

The SanDisk 64GB Extreme Pro SD cards are recommended for amateurs and professional photographers as they offer durable and affordable memory storage.

2. SanDisk Extreme Pro 128GB SDXC Card 170MB/s.

The SanDisk 128GB Extreme Pro SD card is the bigger brother of it's above except this has double the capacity totalling 128GB.
